Welcome to Chalculate (the "App"), an iOS keyboard calculator provided by an independent developer. By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using and delete the App.
1. The Service
The App is a keyboard calculator that works in any text field. The free version includes 100 calculations (up to 3 per day), plus a day-one gift of 10. After the quota is used up, the keyboard still types normally — only evaluation is limited, and a fallback of 1 calculation per day remains. Pro (subscription or one-time purchase) unlocks unlimited calculations, all keyboard themes, the history panel and landscape scientific keys.
Free quota is counted per device; reinstalling or switching devices resets it, and quota never syncs across devices. The free-quota policy only ever improves: values may go up, never down. The App works fully offline and requires no account.
2. Pro Subscriptions (Auto-Renewable)
2.1 Plans
Pro Monthly: auto-renews every month at the price shown on the App Store at the time of purchase. Pro Annual: auto-renews every year, offered in selected markets only (e.g. not available in mainland China). Pro Lifetime: one-time purchase that permanently unlocks Pro features of the current and future versions of this App; it does not cover possible future separate products.
2.2 Free Trial
The 7-day free trial is attached to Monthly only and is available once per Apple ID (as determined by the App Store). If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid Monthly subscription at the then-current price. Upgrading to Annual during the trial ends the trial immediately; the annual plan takes effect and billing starts today (Apple converts the remaining trial time proportionally).
2.3 Cancellation & Subscription Management
All subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Chalculate → Cancel Subscription. Access remains until the end of the current billing period. Monthly and Annual belong to the same subscription group: upgrades take effect immediately with proportional conversion; downgrades take effect next cycle — all managed in the system subscription page.
3. Lifetime Purchase Notes
If you buy Lifetime while subscribed, it does not automatically refund or stop your subscription — please cancel the subscription yourself afterwards. If a Lifetime purchase is refunded, access is revoked automatically through Apple's refund processing.
4. Pricing, Taxes & Regional Differences
Prices vary by market and are those shown on the App Store at purchase. Prices may change for new purchases and new billing periods only (existing subscriptions are never raised without your consent). Local taxes may be included where applicable.
5. Restore Purchases & Family Sharing
On a new device, tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the in-app paywall, or sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase. Whether Lifetime or subscriptions participate in Family Sharing is as indicated on the App Store.
6. Refunds
All refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com or "Report a Problem" in your App Store purchase history. The developer cannot refund directly, and the App contains no refund-retention flows.
7. Acceptable Use & Intellectual Property
You may not reverse engineer or decompile the App, or use it for any unlawful purpose. The App, its UI, icons and themes are the developer's intellectual property. Apple and the App Store are not a party to these Terms; subscription billing and refund decisions are handled by Apple under its own terms.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is". While we strive for correctness, we are not liable for any errors or omissions in calculation results — please double-check anything involving money, health or legal matters. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
